Just in case people were buying this under false impressions, this is NOT the official Nintendo Wii Wheel (Which comes in Mario Kart Wii), but an imitation (albiet a decent one) from another company.

The wheel is NOT REQUIRED in order to play multiplayer Mario Kart, you can use the wii remotes without this attachment.
(Previous reviews have stated that this is required to play multiplayer on Mario Kart.)

| Wii wheel great - but standard controller works | |

The wii wheel controller is pretty cool - and once you get the hang of it great fun. The controller though is only a holder for the actual wii remote so just be aware you can play the game without a wii wheel controller. Just bear in mind for multi-player fun. You do need a separate wii remote of course for each player. But there is no doubt that the wii wheel controller just adds to the fun of that driving experience for a fantastic game in wii Mario Kart.

Well, only if you want to play Mario Kart Wii with friends. Mario Kart Wii comes with ONE steering wheel, so multiplayer games are a big no-no. But by buying 2 or 3 of these babies you can finally play with friends or family.
But instead of buying 3 seperate wheels you should be able to buy a 3 pack, shame. :(
REQUIRED if you want to play Mario Kart Wii in multiplayer.
