| Three fine historical adventures | |
| | These three 60s Doctor Who stories haven been lovingly restored fromoff-air recordings made by fans on original broadcast and are the onlyremaining record of the productions. The Myth Makers is highly witty and is very easy to listen to. TheMassacre is dramatic and suspenceful, and it is best to concentrate onthis one to get the most out of it. William Hartnell is brilliant in hisdual role of The Doctor and the Abbot of Amboise. This is very much like aradio play, and is ideally suited to the audio-only format. TheHighlanders is a great adventure. A story often forgotten about by fans,it turns out to be hugely enjoyable to listen to because it is so muchfun. These two Hartnell and one Troughton stories have been put into a nice boxat a good price, and is an excellent way to get three of the best DoctorWho audios in one go. The three stories are very different from oneanother, so the box set caters to many tastes. Very highly recommended.
